Possible Side Effects After Botox
- All injection procedures may cause bruising, swelling, bleeding, bumps, pain, redness, or needle marks after treatment.
- Avoid smoking, alcohol, hot and humid environments (such as saunas), and strenuous exercise for 1–2 weeks.
- The effect of Botox usually begins to appear gradually within 2–4 weeks.
- The treatment cycle for Botox is generally every 3–6 months (this may vary depending on muscle activity).
- Temporary discomfort may occur due to reduced muscle movement at the injection site.
- In the case of wrinkle Botox (crow’s feet, under the eyes, forehead, glabella, etc.), temporary heaviness of the eyes or unnatural facial expressions may occur due to reduced facial muscle movement.
- After jaw Botox, avoid clenching the jaw or eating hard, tough foods.
- After calf Botox, weakened leg strength may occur, so be cautious of falls.
- After trapezius Botox, temporary weakness in the arms may occur.
- If you wish to reduce the effect of Botox more quickly, radiofrequency therapy, warm massage, or active muscle exercises may help.
