Post-Treatment Precautions: Fillers / Thread Lift

• Please be sure to take the prescribed medications after the procedure.
• Avoid smoking, alcohol, hot and humid places (e.g., saunas), and strenuous exercise for 1–2 weeks.
• You may wash your face gently, but keep the DuoDerm dressing on while washing. (Maintain the DuoDerm for 3 days.)
• For one month after the procedure, try to avoid stimulating the treated area as much as possible (e.g., massage, rubbing).
• Bruising, swelling, and pain may occur; these usually improve after 1–2 weeks.
• Temporary pain may occur when using facial muscles; this also typically improves after 1–2 weeks.
• If you are taking aspirin, cold medicine, or other medications, bleeding may be harder to stop and bruising may occur. If you are taking any medications, please let us know in advance.

Possible Side Effects After the Procedure

• Bruising, swelling, bleeding, pain, redness, needle marks, etc.
• For fillers and threads: visibility under the skin, protrusion, bacterial infection, inflammation, hyperpigmentation, asymmetry, uneven skin surface, scarring, indentations, etc.
• Foreign-body sensation in the treated area, hardening, lump formation, hypersensitivity reactions, etc.
• Rarely: sensory loss due to nerve injury; skin necrosis due to vascular occlusion; permanent vision loss (blindness) or strabismus; granulomatous nodules; and other unpredictable side effects depending on individual constitution.
